    Description

    Condition Rarity 1841 Near-Gem Quarter

1841 25C MS64 PCGS. CAC. The 1841 quarter has a mintage of 120,000 business strikes. It is obtainable in the lower circulated grades, but difficult to acquire in the better levels of preservation. Larry Briggs, in his Comprehensive Encyclopedia of United States Liberty Seated Quarters (1991), assigns the following rarity ratings for this issue: G/VG, R.3; F/VF, R.4; XF/AU, R.5; Unc, R-6.
This near-Gem displays pleasing luster emanating from essentially untoned surfaces, and a well executed strike manifests itself in strong definition on the design features. A few minute contact marks prevent Gem classification. Population: 5 in 64, 2 finer (2/09).(Registry values: P4) (NGC ID# 23SK, PCGS# 5399)

HA is a traditional auction house, they set up their auctions slightly different from typical domain auctions. This works well, it seems to be a good mix of old age (live bidding in a prestigious hotel) and new age (online bidding).
