Rare Small Date Guide Book Variety
1842-O 25C Small Date -- Rim Damage -- NGC Details. AU. Briggs
1-A, Flynn RPD-001. Repunching exists within the upper loop of
8. A small flattened area above star 11 is the rim damage noted by
NGC, also seen above the second A in AMERICA. Light silver-gray
toning retains traces of luster on each side. Only a few tiny marks
are seen elsewhere on the partially reflective surfaces, with
well-defined motifs and a touch of high-point wear. The 1842-O
Small Date is the rarest O-mint quarter (eclipsing the 1849-O), and
it is seldom available this sharp despite the lack of a numeric
