    Description

Moderately Toned Gem Uncirculated 1843 Quarter

1843 25C MS65 PCGS. While the 1843 is not one of the more highly respected issues in the Seated Quarter series, it is, nevertheless, conditionally scarce in Uncirculated grades. This is a moderately toned and lustrous coin that is evenly patinated with a coating of blue-gray patina overlaying each side. Well struck in all areas, this appears to be a very early strike due to the absence of noticeable die cracks normally so prevalent on this issue. Population: 2 in 65, none finer at either service (3/04).
From the JFS Collection.(#5404) (Registry values: P3)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23SR, PCGS# 5404)

    Weight: 6.68 grams
