Description
1843-O 25C AU55 NGC. Except for a few incomplete radials on the stars, the strike is bold and the surfaces minimally marked for the grade. The obverse displays deep russet coloration while the brighter reverse exhibits a touch of golden patina. The mintage is a relatively abundant 968,000 pieces, but AU and finer examples are very elusive, a fact that need not be brought to the attention of the Seated quarter specialist.
