1848 25C AU58 PCGS. Briggs 1-A. Doubled Date. Softly lustrous beneath captivating patina that shows elements of slate-gray, violet, and blue. A well-defined coin that has just a whisper of friction on the uppermost design elements. The population data for this scarce variant is not relevant as the doubled date is not noted on the insert and it does not have a separate PCGS number.Ex: Norweb Collection (Bowers and Merena, 3/1988), lot 1584.
