Description
1849-O Seated Quarter, VF25
Unrecorded Mintage, Series Key
1849-O 25C VF25 PCGS. Briggs 1-A. The 1849-O quarter had an
estimated mintage of only 16,000 coins, most of which were
distributed along the river trade. Light-gold accents visit the
borders of this moderately worn example, while the centers remain
light-gray with sparse glimmers of luster. The right obverse field
shows a mixture of shallow digs and discreet planchet flaws, while
the rest of the coin has a few light hairlines and other
grade-consistent marks. PCGS Population: 6 in 25, 40 finer
