Description
1850-O 25C MS 61 Obverse Field Scuffed SEGS. Briggs 1-B. Heavily rusted throughout Liberty's body and the surrounding features, this brilliant example would probably warrant a higher grade were it not for heavy abrasions in the right obverse field near Liberty's leg. In addition to modestly reflective fields, this piece also displays a bold central impression that wanes on the stars and upper obverse border. Despite its shortcomings, specialists should recognize that this O-mint quarter is only infrequently encountered above the XF grade level and is a deserved rarity in Mint State.
