Description

Gem Uncirculated 1852 Seated Quarter

1852 MS 65 NGC. Mostly brilliant with razor sharp definition in all areas and virtually no abrasions of any kind. Only a small scuff at the base of the 2 in the date and in the field below reveals any kind of contact with other coins. The 1852 quarter was struck during a peak in silver prices and, despite limited production, saw extensive melting. Only a handful of gems are known. Population: 3 in 65, 2 finer (6/98).
