Description

    1852-O Quarter, VF35, Briggs 1-B
    With Original Surfaces

1852-O 25C VF35 PCGS. CAC. Briggs 1-B. The mintage was only 96,000 pieces for the 1852-O quarter and it is exceptionally challenging to locate in any grade above VF. This piece shows better-than-average details, certainly in line with the stated grade. The large O mintmark, high and slightly left of the center of crotch, and horizontal shield lines extending to the second shield line on the left, identify the Briggs B reverse. The surfaces are original with deeper, almost charcoal-gray patina in the fields and recesses with lighter gray accents over the high points. Uncleaned, and notable as such, the surfaces are problem-free for the grade. Population: 3 in 35, 16 finer (9/10).(Registry values: P7) (NGC ID# 23T9, PCGS# 5420)

    Weight: 6.68 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
