Description

1852-O XF 40 ANACS. A modestly worn example of this elusive, heavily melted New Orleans quarter, one of just 96,000 pieces struck only a year before high silver prices caused a reduction in weight. The relatively unmarked surfaces display a base of steel-gray patina, with more colorful overtones of steel-blue and yellow-gold.
