1852-O 25C XF 45 PCGS. Precious few of the 96,000 Seated quarters that the New Orleans Mint delivered this year survived the widespread melting of the California Gold Rush era. Although not widely recognized as such, the 1852-O is just as scarce as the 1849-O at the present level and somewhat rarer in higher grade. This is a typically struck example whose problem-free surfaces are richly toned in golden-gray and cobalt-blue shades. An important bidding opportunity for the Seated quarter specialist.
