Splendid 1853 Arrows and Rays Quarter, Choice Mint State
1853 25C Arrows and Rays MS64 NGC. A hint of rose toning accents the mostly medium gray surfaces of this boldly impressed near-Gem specimen. The nearly full details are complemented by dazzling satiny luster in the fields. The reverse is remarkably unabraded, while the obverse has only a few minuscule signs of handling. A pleasing example of this one-year type. NGC has certified only 36 examples finer (8/08).(Registry values: P5)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23U4, PCGS# 5426, GSID# 5124)
