Not Sold Description
Originally Toned Gem 1854 Arrows Quarter
1854 25C Arrows MS65 NGC. Even though the 1854-P has a sizeable original mintage, and is the most common issue of the 1854-1855 Arrows type, it is anything but common in the finer Mint State grades. The currently offered Gem is fully struck with original, mottled, gray-golden toning and no significant marks. One of the hallmarks of this piece is the exceptional luster. It is soft and frosted, lying under the toning in a relatively undisturbed state. The strike is also noteworthy, being full in all areas, and showing no softness on either side. A pleasing example of this popular two-year type.(#5432) (Registry values: P4)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23U6, PCGS# 5432, GSID# 5125)
