Description

Lustrous, Richly Toned 1855 Arrows Quarter, MS64

1855 25C Arrows MS64 PCGS. While the 1855 Arrows is a common coin in the lower circulated grades, it is surprisingly difficult in mint condition. Only 18 other pieces have been so graded by both of the major services combined, with 17 finer (4/08). This is a sharply struck example that shows the date with notably weakly impressed digits. Deep, swirling multicolored toning is seen over each side with strong underlying mint luster. There are no surface defects visible without the use of a magnifier. Population: 9 in 64, 7 finer (8/08).
