Description
1855 Arrows Quarter, MS67
Tied for Finest at PCGS, CAC
The PCGS Plate Coin
1855 25C Arrows MS67 PCGS. CAC. Richly toned and highly
lustrous, this CAC-endorsed Superb Gem quarter dazzles the eye.
Always in demand as a two-year type coin, the 1855 Arrows draws
series specialists and type coin collectors alike. Registry Set
enthusiasts join the fray whenever a top-grade example comes to
auction. This sparkling MS67 is the current PCGS primary plate
coin. Peripheral blue and satin-silver obverse patina yields to
vibrant coppery-gold interiors for outstanding eye appeal. The
reverse glistens with the same color palette, although the blue
accents move inward and command a greater portion of available
visual interest. Silver luster illuminates the sharp strike
throughout both sides. PCGS and NGC share a handful of MS67
examples, but none are more impressive than this glittering Superb
Gem. PCGS Population: 2 in 67, 0 finer (3/26).(Registry values: P4)Selections from The Black Cat Collection, Part II.
