Description

1855-S Arrows Fine 15 PCGS. The 1855-S was the first quarter dollar issued in the newly-opened San Francisco mint. Almost 400,000 pieces were struck but attrition took a heavy toll on this issue as small change was so badly needed in the channels of commerce in California at the time. The surfaces are a natural rose-gray with even wear.
