Description
Exceptionally Well Struck 1857-O Quarter, MS64
1857-O 25C MS64 NGC. The 1857-O quarter is rare in Mint State and generally comes very poorly struck (Larry Briggs, 1991). This near-Gem offering is a refreshing exception, as a solid strike leaves virtually complete definition over the design features. Intense luster complements the sharp detail. Essentially untoned surfaces reveal just a few inoffensive marks that preclude Gem status.
