Description
Delightful Gem 1858 Quarter
1858 25C MS65 PCGS. CAC. Strong, satiny luster is the unifying of this well-preserved Gem. The two sides do show some contrasts; most notably, the obverse has pale orange rim toning around faintly pink-tinged fields, while the reverse has more dusky blue and rose patina. Striking softness at the left side of the eagle contributes to the grade. Population: 33 in 65, 13 finer (9/09).(Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23TH, PCGS# 5445, GSID# 5129)
