Description

1858 25C MS65 PCGS. Peach-gold and pale-blue toning drifts across lustrous, beautifully preserved surfaces of this attractive Gem quarter. More than 7.3 million pieces were struck, yet remarkably few examples survive in high Uncirculated grades. The strike is sharp on Liberty's head and the surrounding stars, with a pair of tiny, light marks on the cheek. Faint die clashing is visible on the reverse shield. Population: 45 in 65 (4 in 65+), 15 finer (10/19).(Registry values: P2)
