    1858-O Quarter, Eye-Appealing MS64+
    None Finer at PCGS

1858-O 25C MS64+ PCGS. As the only MS64+ example of the 1858-O quarter certified by PCGS with none numerically finer), this is truly a special example of a pre-Civil War New Orleans silver issue that saw turbulent times soon after its release. How it survived for more than 150 years is a mystery, but the eye appeal of the piece is perfectly clear. Silver, gold, and peach interior shadings give way to blue-green, azure, and cerulean at the margins. Strong cartwheel luster swirls through the fields, and the well-defined devices offer appealing touches of frostiness. Population: 2 in 64 (1 in 64+), 0 finer (8/12).(Registry values: P5)
