1858-S 25C AU53 PCGS. Sharply struck and satiny with clean walnut-tan and stone-gray surfaces. Although the mintage of 121,000 pieces should have left a number of quality survivors, such coins were necessary to commerce, and only a single Mint State example is known (an MS62 NGC).
