Difficult 1858-S Seated Quarter Uncirculated
1858-S 25C MS61 ANACS. A low mintage, early frontier issue, the 1858-S quarter saw widespread circulation. This is one of the few pieces that escaped commercial channels, with surfaces that are richly toned in antique-copper shades. Both sides are deceptively abrasion-free for the grade, but there are curious breaks in the luster in the right obverse field and the upper reverse field.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23TK, PCGS# 5447, GSID# 5189)
