Not Sold Description
1861 25C MS64 PCGS. The 1861 is one of the few No Motto dates that is occasionally available in Gem and near-Gem condition for the type collector, and it is a popular Civil War year as well. This is a lovely near-Gem, with beautiful soft sea-green, golden-tan, and violet toning on both sides. The striking details are quite sharp overall, although minor softness is evident on the obverse stars 10 through 12. Population: 87 in 64, 46 finer (1/05).(#5454) (Registry values: P2)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23TT, PCGS# 5454, GSID# 5132)
