1866 25C Motto MS65 NGC. The first year with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST. The Philadelphia Mint coined only 16,800 quarters for circulation in 1866. This Gem representative exhibits partially prooflike fields, complete with heavy die polish lines, that highlight the frosty devices. Well struck at the peripheries, while the central elements reveal localized weakness. White surfaces display just a few trivial marks.
