1867 25C MS61 PCGS. In 1867, Federal paper money could not
be redeemed for full value in specie, thus fractional currency
circulated in place of silver coinage. The Philadelphia mintage of
quarters was just 20,000 pieces. This is a prooflike example with
brilliant centers and peripheral golden-brown, aquamarine, and
