1872 Quarter Dollar, MS64
Rare in Mint State
1872 25C MS64 PCGS. CAC. The 1872 Seated Liberty quarter
boasts a low mintage of 182,000 circulation strikes and is
difficult to locate in all grades, due in part to many probably
having been melted in the 1873 silver melt. This near-Gem example
displays toning on both sides, in intermingled shades of teal,
orange, copper, gold, and peach. The strike is sharp and the
scattered marks are consistent with the grade. Population: 12 in
