Description

1872 Seated Quarter, MS64
Conditionally Rare at This Grade

1872 25C MS64 PCGS. The 1872 is one of the more often-seen Seated quarter issues from this period, but it is nonetheless a rare date in Mint State. This Choice example glows with thick, satiny luster underlying dusky golden-gray and olive toning on each side. Several obverse stars are a trifle weak, but the overall definition is pleasing, and there are no significant abrasions noted. Population: 5 in 64, 4 finer (8/24).
