Rare 1872-CC Seated Quarter, VF30
1872-CC 25C VF30 PCGS. A rare issue from the third year of Carson City Mint coinage, the 1872-CC shows diagonal die scratches from the base of the rock through the lower shield stripes on all known examples, as here. This piece shows the moderate wear expected, but there are few singular abrasions. The pretty pinkish-gold surfaces with blue accents are a plus. Population: 7 in 30, 7 finer (8/08).(Registry values: P8)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23US, PCGS# 5482, GSID# 5205)
