1872-S XF 45 NGC. An extremely difficult piece to acquire in a high, collectible grade. Although a small group of certified mint state pieces exists, two XF 40 coins are all that presently appear in the XF-AU grade range from both services. Smooth and untoned with plenty of luster remaining. Trends $3,850 in Extra Fine, $5,650 in AU 50.
