MS64 1875-S Quarter
A Surprisingly Scarce Issue in the With Motto Series
1875-S 25C MS64 PCGS. Type Two Reverse. Die 2-C. Unlike its
half dollar counterpart, the 1875-S quarter is a scarce issue.
Briggs (1991) states, "For the mintage a very elusive coin in all
grades, suggesting the mintage is incorrect." This is a remarkably
lustrous coin and each side shows just the slightest overlay of
golden toning. (Registry values: P3)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23UZ, PCGS# 5500, GSID# 5212)
