Description

Lustrous 1875-S Gem Quarter

1875-S 25C MS65 NGC. Type One Reverse. The 1875-S is generally poorly struck. It is also elusive in all grades, despite the 680,000-piece mintage. Frosty luster envelops this Gem that displays just a touch of barely discernible localized light tan color. The reverse is actually quite well struck, while the obverse reveals areas of incompleteness. Roller marks are visible on the obverse. Both sides are devoid of significant contact marks. Census: 9 in 65, 1 finer (4/09).(Registry values: P3)
