    Description

    1875-S Seated Quarter, MS65
    Rare Issue in High Grades

1875-S 25C MS65 PCGS. Briggs 3-C. An impressive Gem example of the Medium Mintmark variety with heavy die cracks throughout the reverse periphery. The die shows sinking at the outer reaches, creating a biplanar surface that results in weakly impressed lettering on the reverse and flatness of several obverse stars. Lovely sea-green, blue, and chestnut-gold toning covers both sides of this scarce San Francisco issue. Population: 7 in 65, 3 finer (2/17).
