Description
1875-S 25C MS 62 NGC. Briggs 3-C Die State. Although the surfaces evidence fulsome mint frost, the obverse has acquired dark, mottled cobalt-blue toning that inhibits one's appreciation of the design elements. Although the reverse is markedly lighter, we note that this dark color is also evident about STATES OF. Nonetheless, this is an original Mint State example of this conditionally challenging and often overlooked S-mint issue that displays crisp definition throughout.
