    Description

Richly Toned, Superb Gem Quality 1876-CC Seated Liberty Quarter

1876-CC 25C MS67 NGC. The 1876-CC (4.9 million pieces produced) is not only the most common CC-mint Seated Quarter, it is also one of the most common issues in the entire series. We caution bidders, however, that this date is difficult to locate as a Gem, and Superb Gems number just three coins, all of which are at NGC (1/02). This is a wonderful coin from the standpoint of originality. The central obverse is toned in antique-gold shades with mottled cobalt-blue and crimson-lilac colors dispersed around the obverse periphery and throughout the reverse. The underlying mint frost is full and vibrant, and the devices are sharply impressed. (NGC ID# 23V3, PCGS# 5502)
