Description

Lovely 1877 Quarter, MS67

1877 25C MS67 NGC. Type Two Reverse. Frosty luster endows both sides of this lovely Superb Gem, and a well executed strike sharpens the design features. A few light ticks subtract nothing from the coin's great overall eye appeal. Larry Briggs (1991) writes that many were likely melted for new silver dollar coinage in 1878. Census: 29 in 67, 7 finer (10/09).(Registry values: P1)
