1879 MS 64 NGC. First of the low mintage years that stretch from 1879 through 1891, this year's production was limited to only 14,700 pieces, of which 1,100 were proofs. Well struck, except on several of the stars, the fields are bright and prooflike with just a bit of cartwheel in evidence. Lightly toned.
