Description

1891-S 25C MS64 PCGS. This issue is not rare at the MS64 grade tier, but it immediately becomes much scarcer at the Gem level of preservation. This near-Gem exhibits some striking softness and accompanying bits of die rust on the central and lower parts of Liberty, including the shield area. Creamy, somewhat milky patina prevents the piece from being brilliant, but does not keep it from being an attractive example for the grade.(Registry values: P2)
