1840 XF 40 Obverse Planchet Flaw SEGS, Briggs 1-A, a sizeable planchet flaw interrupts the otherwise smooth, gray surfaces about star 9; and an 1850-O 25C XF 40 Reverse Lamination SEGS, Briggs 1-A, while the balance of this piece displays a pleasing, deeply toned appearance, the lamination bisects the upper reverse and limits the overall eye appeal.
