Description
1845 25C VF 20 SEGS, Briggs 2-B Late Die State, numerous circulation marks disrupt this specimen's moderately toned surfaces; 1845/45 VF 25, Briggs 3-C, despite moderate wear and deep gray toning in the recessed areas, the small 5 underdigit is plainly visible under magnification; 1845 VF 25, Briggs New-C, this example's lavender patina deepens to cobalt-blue in isolated areas of both the obverse and reverse peripheries; 1845 VF 30 Mark on 5, Briggs 2-B Middle Die State, a sizeable contact mark on the 5 is the only distraction on the otherwise placid, evenly toned faces; and an 1845 XF 40 Cleaned, Briggs New-A, the harsh cleaning was unable to remove the deep cobalt-blue highlights on the reverse about the peripheral devices. All coins are SEGS encapsulated.
