1847/47 25C Doubled Die Reverse VF 30 SEGS, Briggs 2-A, this is a fascinating variety that mates a repunched date with prominent reverse doubling on QUAR. DOL. and UNITED STA; 1847 Doubled Die Reverse XF 45, Briggs 1-A, despite noticeable wear, this is a pleasing specimen that exhibits mottled olive and gray toning throughout; 1847 AU 50 Retoned, Briggs 4-D, the dove-gray toning that adheres to both sides of this piece is unable to adequately obscure the underlying hairlines; and an 1847 AU 53, Briggs 4-J, the lovely russet and cobalt-blue toning that overlays the reverse lightens over the central obverse before it deepens about the date. All coins are SEGS certified.
