Description
1855 25C Arrows Fine 15 Cleaned SEGS, Polished Die, heavy hairlines abound beneath this coin's slate-gray and charcoal toning; 1855-S VG 8, Briggs 2-A, heavily worn and possessed of scant rims; 1855-S VG 10, Briggs 1-B, this is an attractive coin for the grade that evidences complete borders and even, lilac-gray patination; 1855-S Fine 15, Briggs 2-C, dark mottled toning masks much of this coin's surface and inhibits its overall eye appeal; 1855-S VF-20 "Lite Ruffness", Briggs 1-C, while the reverse displays even charcoal-gray coloration, the sandy-yellow obverse evidences swirls of crimson and charcoal incrustation; 1855-S VF-20 "Lite Ruffness", Briggs 2-B, this unfortunate specimen has suffered the effects of exposure to the elements that have left its surfaces darkly toned and somewhat granular. All coins are SEGS encapsulated.
