Description
1856/6 25C VF 25 SEGS, Briggs 2-A Late Die State, while the repunching on this coin's date have faded slightly with strike and circulation, its curious "Compass Point" feature is still visible between the first two vertical lines of the reverse shield; 1856/6 XF 40 Old Cleaning, Briggs 4-B, this shimmering, champagne-colored example displays repunching on the date that is most readily visible along the lower loop of the 6; 1856 XF 40, Briggs 5-C Late Die State, the numerous die cracks that encompass most of the reverse have now formed a rim cud over the U in UNITED on this advanced striking; 1856/6 XF 45 Lightly Marked, Briggs 2-A Early, although this coin evidences repunching within the loop of the 6, its somewhat dark, greasy toning raises doubts as to its originality. All coins are SEGS certified.
