1856-O 25C Fine 15 Reverse Flaw SEGS, Briggs 8-B, a sizeable planchet flaw that protrudes from the D in UNITED into the open field is the only distraction worthy of note on the otherwise smooth, nicely toned surfaces; 1856-O VF 20, Briggs 7-C, a previously unknown die marriage, this coin is richly toned in swirling crimson and lilac shades; 1856-O VF 30, Briggs 2-A, the lavender-gray surfaces reveal traces of multicolored undertones throughout; 1856-S Good 4, Briggs 3-D, this heavily worn specimen lent its mintmark to page 111 of Larry Briggs' Comprehensive Encyclopedia of United States Liberty Seated Quarters; and an 1856-S VF 20, Briggs 3-D, nicely toned save for mottled darkness about the reverse devices. All coins are SEGS encapsulated.
