Description

1860 25C AU 50 SEGS, Type Two/Type Two, Misplaced Date, Briggs 8-G, although mentioned on the insert, we can find no evidence of a misplaced date either in the denticles or in the base of the rock (nor is it listed in the Misplaced Date reference by Flynn); and an 1860 AU 55 Toned SEGS, Type Two/Type Two, Misplaced Date, Briggs 8-G, although this coin readily reveals its beautiful green-gold and orange-russet highlights, it is just as guarded with the location of its misplaced date as the previous coin. Both of these coins are lightly circulated representations of this elusive die marriage.
