Description
1876 25C Misplaced Date VF 25 Cleaned SEGS, Briggs 10-K, a small, misplaced 1 shows plainly beneath the 8 when one examines this coin with a loupe; 1876/76 VF 30 Obverse Scratches, Briggs 4-D, the pinscratches, while readily evident throughout the obverse, also plague the reverse; 1876 XF 40 Cleaned, Briggs 15-P, the heavy cleaning proved unable to remove the toning that still clings to isolated areas of the peripheries; 1876/6/6 XF 45 Dipped, Briggs 6-F, triple punched on the 6 in the date, this specimen has been obviously dipped to the point that its luster is no longer an attribute of either side; 1876 Misplaced Date AU 50 Cleaned, Briggs 7-G, untoned, this coin is the benefactor of light hairlines; and an 1876/6/6 AU 50, Briggs 6-F, although modestly reflective, this coin's surfaces reveal scattered hairlines that raise the specter of a harsh cleaning. All coins are SEGS certified.
