Description
1865 25C VF 20 Cleaned, the slightly hairlined surfaces give away the fact that this coin suffered at the hands of an old, light cleaning, but natural looking medium gray toning with ivory highlights gives this piece nice eye appeal for the grade; and an 1865-S VF 20, a nice example of this scarce issue, with pale gray toning throughout, a minor dark spot visible on the obverse rim between 1 and 2 o'clock, mentioned for accuracy, and surfaces that display only light abrasions, consistent with the grade level, from an original mintage of just 41,000 pieces.
