    1859 Quarter, PR64+
    Collectible No Motto Issue

    1859 25C PR64+ NGC. CAC. A mintage of 800 proof Seated Liberty quarters was accomplished at the Philadelphia Mint in 1859, in just the second year of the Mint's commercial proof offerings. The present coin displays needle-sharp definition on all the design elements, with iridescent blue and green patina. The fields are brightly reflective beneath the toning. Currently, this coin is the only PR64+ example in the NGC Census, with none certified finer in the Plus category (3/11).(Registry values: P4)
