    1880 5C AU53 NGC. At 16,000 pieces, the 1880 Shield nickel has the lowest business strike mintage of extant issues in its series. This lightly circulated piece displays gunmetal gray and olive-green surfaces. Light wear is present on the high points of the devices. There are no abrasions worthy of mention. Census: 3 in 53, 16 finer (9/15).(Registry values: N1793)
