Well-Struck, Lustrous 1881 Shield Nickel, MS67
Low-Mintage Business Strike
1881 5C MS67 NGC. One of the finest survivors of this
late-series Shield nickel emission of only 68,000 pieces, the
present Superb Gem boasts incredible luster over gray-white
surfaces that display super eye appeal. There is little evidence of
color on either side. This well-struck piece has a couple of wispy
obverse die cracks that add to the appeal. Census: 4 in 67, 0 finer
