Silesia gold "Locust Plague" Medal 1748 MS61 NGC, Goppel-1193, F&S-4336 var., Brettauer-1893 var. 5.23gm. On the locust plague in Silesia. A well-preserved example of this charming type, depicting an "uninvited guest from foreign lands" on the obverse in the form of a locust, and on the reverse, the scene of a swarm. Most commonly found in silver, and rare in the present composition.
